The copyright for all the multilingual applications available for download from these pages is held by IIT Madras.ĭuring 2005, the IITM Software development effort has become an Open Source project at Sourceforge with licensing under GPL. You may also look at the on-line demos presented at this site to convince yourself that the IITM Software is indeed different in its approach to providing effective user interfaces in Indian languages. While IIT Madras cannot claim to have done anything to match the capabilities and features of commercial applications, the software is unique in providing the best possible approach to computing with Indian languages.
